OUR DOCTORS
Lea McWilliams, D.V.M.

Dr. McWilliams is fairly certain she
was meant to be born in Alaska,
unfortunately, she had to grow up
in Texas instead.  Immediately after
earning her D.V.M.(Magna Cum
Laude!) from Texas A&M in 1991,
she moved to Alaska and has
practiced at
Alaska Veterinary Clinic
ever since.  Tutored all these years
by Drs. Law and Froeschle, she
enjoys providing lifelong care for
family pets.  In her spare time, she
has fun boating in Prince William
Sound, remodeling houses, and
gardening.  She is married to Doug
and they share two dogs, Cricket
the Cairn Terrier(whose motto is
"cute
is enough"), and Rufus, a
Belgian Malinois.
DAVID LAW, D.V.M.

Dr. Law grew up in a small
town in rural Illinois and
received his D.V.M. degree
from The University of Illinois in
1965.  He has been associated
with
Alaska Veterinary Clinic
since 1970.  His major
interests include fishing,
hunting, and flying his 1947
Piper PA-12 airplane, having
accumulated several thousand
hours of flight time throughout
Alaska.  Dr. Law and his wife
Sheryl have two adult children,
 grandchildren,  a flying Border
Collie named Tony, and a three
legged, half-tailed, no eared
cat called "Freeze Dried".

Jerry Froeschle, D.V.M.

Dr. Froeschle grew up in
North Dakota reading Jack
London novels.  After
graduating from Kansas
State University where he
received his D.V.M., he
moved to Alaska and joined
the clinic. He married  Sharon
in 1973.  They have 2 grown
daughters. His interests
include flying, reading, and
travel.  He and his wife share
their home with "Gonzo" the
retrieving cat.
Dr Gerald Wooldridge, D.V.M.

Dr. Wooldridge calls himself a "farm
boy from Colorado".  He graduated
from Colorado State University in
1966.  He has been a pilot for over
40 years and enjoys the outdoors
and fishing.  He is married to
Corrine and they have three grown
children.
Patty Payne, D.V.M.

Dr. Payne received her bachelor and
veterinary degrees from Texas A&M
University, graduating in 1991.  After
working in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area
for 15 years as a small animal
practitioner, she moved to Alaska in
May 2006 to join our clinic.  Her free
time is spent doing water color
painting, landscape photography and
hiking with her two Australian
Shepherds, Cutter and Mesa.  Dr.
Payne is also owned by a Siamese
mix named Nemo- who is actually the
one in charge.  Cutter and Mesa,
along with Dr. Payne, are proud
members of the Dog Scouts of
America.

Lindsay Wingerter, D.V.M.

Dr. Lindsay Wingerter is very happy to
have joined Alaska Veterinary Clinic in
September 2007.  She grew up in
Fairbanks, AK.  She received her
bachelor's from Montana State and her
doctor of veterinary medicine from
Washington State.  Those eight years
out of Alaska filled her lifetime limit.
When she's not helping people and
pets she enjoys hiking, camping,
cooking and reading.  She shares her
life with her husband Joe, an old,
finally calm Irish Setter named Beau, a
young and rowdy black lab named Jet,
a pleasure horse named Gwendolyn
(used only for Gwen's pleasure) and a
cat named Howard who just can not
understand why she needs other
animals in her life.
