Growing up as an army child, Laurel has lived in various places - from Seoul, South Korea to North Carolina - and now Alaska. Currently she is a college student majoring in zoology and political science.
Laurel loves working in the veterinary field because it allows her to learn something daily and help make a difference in the world, by caring for and promoting animal health. She is fear free certified and loves to ensure her patient’s comfort before anything else. Her other interests in the veterinary field include, but are not limited to, animal nutrition, behavior, and anything related to dogs.
Aside from work, Laurel loves to get outside and go ski, hike, or bike no matter the weather. She also loves to train dogs and participates in a variety of dog sports including bitework and rally-o. Her personal dogs, Ember (Collie), Lilo (Newfoundland), and Colin (Great Pyrenees) all participate in a variety of events and have earned multiple titles.
