Clinic Policies

We are scheduled out 6-8 weeks for appointments and procedures. We have maximized our schedule, allowing us to see as many patients as possible without compromising the quality of care we provide. Please take a moment to review our current clinic policies below.

Clinic Policies and Procedures

Scheduling

  • Alaska Veterinary Clinic requires a deposit for appointments. This includes exams and surgeries. The deposit holds your appointment and goes towards the exam or surgery scheduled for that day.

Cancellations

  • Alaska Veterinary Clinic requires at least 24 hours advance notice of a cancellation for an appointment or surgery.

  • Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of your deposit.

  • Advanced notice of a cancellation allows us to fill the appointment slot with another animal who needs to be seen.

Late Appointments

  • Your time is valuable, and so is ours. If you are late to your scheduled appointment, you may be subject to a late fee if we are still able to see you. If we are unable to see you, we will reschedule your appointment.

  • When you are late to your appointment, it impacts the quality of care we are able to provide to your pet as well as other pets scheduled during the day.

Medical Records

  • Medical records are finalized by the end of the appointment for every patient. No amendments are made to a medical record. There are no exceptions to this.

* Medical records are a legal document and changing them for insurance purposes can be considered insurance fraud
