Born and raised in Alaska, Callen has been immersed in animal care since childhood. After spending years bouncing around in the lower 48 working as photographer, she realized she had never felt as fulfilled as she did while working with animals. She returned home and is in her last year pursuing a degree in biology which she intends to turn into a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

When not at work or school she can be found running around outside with her Great Pyrenees, Kai, making art, and shooting photography.
