Dr. Lindsay Wingerter

Dr. ‘Winnie’ Wingerter wanted to be a veterinarian from the moment she learned it wasn’t possible to grow up into a dog. It was the only career choice for her! She grew up racing sled dogs in Fairbanks, Alaska. She obtained her B.S. from Montana State University and then her D.V.M. from Washington State. Go Cougs! She has been with Alaska Veterinary Clinic since graduation in 2007.

Her true passion is extending the strength, the duration, and the quality of the human-animal bond. She is a believer in preventative care in the young and healthy, early detection and treatment of disease, and careful assessment and treatment of our senior pets. Her goal is to keep families happily together for as long as possible!

When she’s not at the clinic, she’s kept plenty busy with her four young kids. Her whole family loves Alaska and are all frequently outside; hiking, fishing, skiing, camping, biking or running in this beautiful state.
