Originally from La Conner, Washington, Emilia grew up on a small farm and has a love for animals big and small. She is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys backcountry snowboarding, backpacking, dog mushing, kayaking, and mountain biking. When she’s not outside, she likes to paint, throw pottery, or read. Emilia moved to Alaska to pursue big adventures and considers herself lucky to live in such a beautiful place. She has two retired sled dogs, Doc and Loki, that are her pride, joy, and favorite adventure buddies. She has 5 years of experience working as a veterinary assistant, and has spent the last two years working with sled dogs all over Alaska. She looks forward to continuing her education. One day, she hopes to work and travel to help wildlife and animals in remote areas.
